Civil Engineering is one of the three branches of engineering in which the Institute offered B. Tech degrees when it started in 1979. The department has excellent infrastructure for teaching, research and consultancy services. All the laboratories are well established with state of the art equipments. The department faculty consists of one Professor, five Associate professors and nine Assistant Professors drawn from all specializations of civil engineering. Different companies visit the department for campus placements. The students graduated from the department are well placed in many reputed companies. Every year a good number of students get qualified in GATE, GRE and TOEFL and get admitted in Universities in India and abroad.

            The department organizes workshops, seminars, guest lectures and national level paper presentation contests on a regular basis. The department is also carrying out sponsored projects funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
