.:: About the Institute ::.

	NBKRIST was established in the year 1979 with the avowed goal to build a top level Technical Institution of Excellence that is capable of producing high caliber engineering professionals needed in the nation building.
	The Institute is located in a sprawling 184 acre land in Vidyanagar, Nellore District in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Elegant and spacious buildings amidst pleasing landscape and gardens on the banks of the River Swarnamukhi provide the right ambience to the process of teaching and learning.
	The Institute, affiliated to S.V. University, Tirupathi, offers four year undergraduate course leading to B. Tech. degree in the following disciplines: 1. Civil Engineering 2. Computer Science and Engineering 3. Electrical and Electronics Engineering 4. Electronics and Communication Engineering 5. Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering 6. Mechanical Engineering
	All the above courses have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
	CE, ECE, EEE, ME and EICE courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (AICTE) vide letter no. F.No. NBA/ACCR-101/2002 dated 04/05/2007.
	The Institute has 20,538.08 sq. m of RCC built-up area housing various departments, laboratories, library, computer center, Ladies & Gents Hostel and other amenities. The Institute has a well equipped sports complex spread across an area of 14 acres. 53 independent houses have been constructed to house the staff on the campus. The Institute has an on-campus clinic with a resident doctor.
	The teaching and learning process at NBKRIST aims at a wholesome development of the student both on knowledge and ethical aspects. The Institute lays strong emphasis on discipline and maintains a tradition of rapport with parents. The conduct and the performance of the students are closely monitored.
	Each student is attached to a faculty member who continually monitors the performance of the student, and provides guidance for the overall development of the student's personality. The students are encouraged to interact with their counsellors frequently and get necessary help and guidance in all matters - academic and personal.
	The hallmark of NBKRIST is the unflinching participation that is always forthcoming from the dedicated staff and the whole-hearted co-operation extended by the student community.

LIBRARY

The Institute has a very spacious library housed in an area of 1743.44 sq. m with a seating capacity of 200. All the library transactions are automized with AUTOLIB software. A separate Book Bank is also maintained to help the under privileged students. The Library is a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network).
