About The Convention

Computer Society of India (CSI) was Formed in 1965.It was instrumental in guiding INDIA’s IT Industry for more than 50 lightning fast years on the right path since inception.

Today, the CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 Student Branches and more than 1,00,000 members including India’s most famous IT Industry, Eminent Scientists and Dedicated Academicians.

CSI Student Chapter of NBKRIST takes the honour of organizing this Regional Level Student Convention for Engineering Students of Region V (AP,Karnataka and Telangana).

RULES & REGULATIONS


1. Event is for 2 hours at max
2. A team may consist of a maximum of two members.
3. The projects should be of DIY (Do It Yourself) type.
4. The project should be relevant to IoT
5. Participants should mail their Abstract / proposal preferably in '.doc' or '.pdf' ' format to csirc@nbkrist.org
6. Selected participants have to confirm their participation and send the details of the Project to the email ID csirc@nbkrist.orgin the following format
a. Title of the project
b. Names of the participant and their respective College/University with contact numbers and e- mail ID.
c. The last sheet may have a list of references - websites, books, journals and so on which amply support the ideas or solutions implemented
7. Wi-Fi facility will be provided
8. Participants should bring their own equipment for IoT expo.
9. High priority will be given to projects rather than simulation
10. Certificates will be issued to the participants who have registered and attended the event

1. Event is for 1 hour at max.
2. Event Contains 2 Rounds and Only Winners of First Round are eligible to Participate Second Round.
3. Only individual performance is allowed.
4. The hacking task for each individual will be said only after the start of the event.
5. 20 Minitues is the Time limit for each Round.
6. System and Internet facility will be provided.
7. All Individual Participants should be reecorded of hacking process as a Video file and Submit the Same to the Event Coordinator.
8. While Hacking Respect others rights.
9. Come with your own tools and use only one tool stick with it.
10. Mobile phones , any communication devices and taking assistance from any others are Strictly Prohibited During the Event.
11. Judge Decision is Final.

8. Participant has to define at least two test cases for the developed application.
9. Certificates will be issued to the participants who have registered and attended the event

1. Paper must be prepared in IEEE format
2. Maintain timing during your PPT presentation - 8 mins for presentation + 2 mins for Queries
3. Maximum 2 authors are allowed.
4. Paper length should not be more than 10 pages.
5. Participant must be present at the venue before 30 minutes of scheduled time.
6. All participants are advised to carry Convention Registration Receipt, College Id ¬card and CSI ID (if applicable) and show it whenever on demand
7. Certificate will be given only who will present the paper
8. The organizing committee reserve the right to cancel the registration and disqualify any participant on disobeying the rules and regulations mentioned above or as described by the organizing committee
9. All the participants should be abide by the rules and regulations and decision of the judges will be final.

1. Event is for 1(One) hour at max.
2. Event is about mobile application development on android latest trends
3. No internet facility will be provided.
4. Mobile phones are not allowed.
5. Only individual participant is allowed with PPT.
6. Participant has to define at least two test cases for the developed application.
7. Certificates will be issued to the participants who have registered and attended the event.
8. Decision of the judges will be final and all participants have to abide by it.
9. Organizing committee has the right to disqualify a participant in case of any indiscipline act.
10. Participants should bring college Id card, registration receipt & CSI ID ( if applicable) in original.

1. Only 3 members are allowed per Team.
2. Totally four rounds will be conducted.
3. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
4. The participants will not be allowed to use mobile or any other electronic gadgets during the quiz.
5. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choices, true / false statement, specific-one word answer and the like.
6. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change
Round 1: 30 Minutes
* Each team will be asked 4 questions.
* 10 marks will be awarded for a correct answer at the first chance.
* 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
* If a team cannot answer a question, it can be passed to the next team. If answered correctly 5 marks will be awarded to that team or else 2 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.
* Only one pass is allowed for a question.
* Answering time per question is only 30 seconds.
* Discussion within the team is allowed.
Round 2: Rapid Fire Round: - Each team will have to answer 10 questions at a stretch with a time limit of one second per question.
* Team can answer maximum number of questions within the one minute session.
* If a team cannot answer the question, they can pass for the next question till they finish all the ten questions.
* The team can select any one member from the team to answer. He/she can get help of the partner.
* 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer whereas 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Round 3: Buzzer Round: A question will be posed to all teams and the team which presses the buzzer first will be given the chance to answer.
* 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer while a deduction of 5 marks will be done for wrong as well as no answers.
* Answering time is limited to 30 seconds per question.
Round 4- Audio-visual round
* A video clip/photo will be displayed on the screen and questions related to the clip will be asked. This audio-visual round will consist of two rounds with each team getting one clip per round.
* 10 marks will be awarded for the each correct answer and 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
* Time is limited to 30 seconds per question.
* Questions will not be passed to the next team. Audience can answer only when the Quiz master’s says.


1. Individual participant has to register for the event.
2. (a) Participant has to bring their own laptop along with the soft copy for the presentation venue.
(b) The participant alone is responsible for the delivery of entire content.
3. The total number of pages should be minimum of 3 pages by using the following soft wares
i)HTML
ii)XML
iii)DHTML
iv)PHP
v)JAVA SCRIPT
vi)CSS
4. Eight minutes will be allowed to present their content and 2 minutes will be for queries.
5. The participant should use standardized font style with appropriate colors.
6. Participants should bring the college ID Card and registration receipt in original.
7. Participants should bring their content in CD and pen drive.
8. Participants must be in a position to explain the technological background aspects if needed.
9. Organizing committee has the right to disqualify the participant in case of any indisciplinary act.
10.In case of multiple participants getting same prize, then cash prize will be divided among participants.
