Before Student Make Next Choice, Request them Take One More Look.

Your engineering college will shape an important four years of your life. Your first counselling choice may have been based on what mattered most at that time. The second counselling offers an opportunity to look once more, compare your options thoughtfully, and consider whether NBKRIST is the right choice to shape your learning, growth and career.

“The right conversation begins not with what we want to say, but with what the student wants to become.”

Our Main philosophy for Calling Process -> “I am not here to change your decision. I am here to help you make a better-informed decision.”

A perspective for meaningful student and parent counselling

THE CONVERSATION

First Understand. Then Introduce.

Every student has a different reason for making a first choice. A meaningful conversation begins there.

A natural beginning

“Hello, am I speaking with ___? I am calling from NBKRIST. I understand that you have already participated in the first counselling and selected another college. I am not calling to pressure you to change your decision. I just wanted to understand what made you choose that college and see whether NBKRIST offers anything that may be useful for you before your second counselling.”

The question that opens the conversation

“May I know what was the main reason you preferred that college?”

Then listen. The answer may reveal what matters most: placement, location, friends, parents, branch, fees, reputation — or simply familiarity.
UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT

One Student. One Priority. One Relevant Conversation.

The most effective conversation is not the longest one. It is the one that speaks to what the student actually values.

If placement is the priority

“What specifically attracted you about their placements — the highest package, number of companies, average package, or the type of companies?”

This opens a discussion about the complete career-preparation ecosystem, rather than one headline number.

If technology is the priority

“Are you mainly interested in software development, AI, data science, cybersecurity — or are you choosing CSE because it is the popular option?”

The conversation can then move towards what the student will actually learn and build.
WHY NBKRIST DESERVES A SECOND LOOK

Seven Pillars of the NBKRIST Experience

Once the student's priorities are understood, these are the strengths that can naturally become part of the conversation.

01

Legacy

NBKRIST has been educating engineers since 1979. The institution's long journey represents continuity, stability and an established engineering tradition. It is an autonomous institution affiliated to JNTUA, with NAAC A accreditation and NBA accreditation.

A natural way to express it: “When you choose an engineering college for four years, stability matters. NBKRIST has been educating engineers since 1979.”
02

Academic Credibility

Autonomous status, NAAC A accreditation, NBA-accredited B.Tech programmes and UGC College with Potential for Excellence recognition reflect an academic ecosystem built around quality and continuous development.

A natural way to express it: “You are not choosing only a campus. You are choosing an academic ecosystem.”
03

Career Preparation

Technical training, communication skills, mock interviews, group discussions and campus recruitment preparation contribute to a broader career-readiness journey, alongside software and core company engagement.

A natural way to express it: “Our goal is not simply to get you through four years. The goal is to make you ready for the fourth year.”
04

Campus Environment

A 250+ acre campus, Wi-Fi, central library, laboratories, innovation facilities, sports, gym, hostel, transport and student support create the environment in which students learn and grow.

A natural way to express it: “If you are going to spend four important years here, campus environment matters. Come once and experience the campus yourself before the final decision.”
05

Modern Technology

For CSE, AI/ML and AI/DS aspirants, the learning journey can connect programming, DSA, full stack development, cloud, AI, projects, Git/GitHub and industry exposure with a Learn While Doing approach.

A natural way to express it: “The question is no longer simply CSE versus CSE. Ask what you will actually learn inside that CSE programme.”
06

Integrated Industry Learning

Industry-oriented learning can begin early, connecting classroom foundations with practical skills, projects, emerging technologies and career preparation rather than waiting until the final year.

A natural way to express it: “What if your industry preparation begins from the day you enter college, rather than only when placements arrive?”
07

Strong Placement

Career opportunities are an important part of the engineering journey. NBKRIST's placement ecosystem brings together technical preparation, communication skills, aptitude development, mock interviews, group discussions and recruitment opportunities.

A natural way to express it: “When you compare colleges, don't look only at the highest package. Look at how seriously the college prepares students for the opportunities waiting after graduation.”
WHEN THE STUDENT HAS ALREADY CHOSEN

A Different Response Creates a Different Conversation

Respect for the first choice is not weakness. It is what makes a second look credible.

“I ALREADY SELECTED ANOTHER COLLEGE.”

“That's absolutely fine. You have every right to consider that college. We are only requesting you to compare once more before second counselling because this is a four-year decision. If, after comparing, you still feel your current choice is better, you should definitely go with your decision.”

“MY FRIEND IS JOINING THERE.”

“Having friends there is definitely comfortable. But your friend will graduate after four years; your skills and career will stay with you much longer.” Then: “If your friend changes college tomorrow, would you also change your decision?”

“THAT COLLEGE HAS BETTER PLACEMENTS.”

“That's good. Placement is important. Before deciding, compare the number of students placed, companies visiting and salary distribution — not only the highest package. We can share the information available with us, and you can make your own decision.”

“COLLEGE X IS IN THE CITY.”

“Yes, city location can be attractive. At the same time, if your priorities are learning, projects, coding, career preparation and campus environment, location can be one factor among several. Why not visit NBKRIST once before deciding?”

A FINAL THOUGHT

One More Look Before the Next Choice

You have already made one choice. Before you make the next one, take one more look. Compare the academics. Compare the learning. Compare the career preparation. Compare the campus. Compare what you can become in four years.

“And then choose the college that feels right for your future.”
